Had their Poke bowl. Amazing. Great service. Was pressed for time and had to return to a conference. Got my food out pronto.
Located next to the Costco is an equally sized restaurant with larger than life portions of the Westwood tavern. Attentive and friendly staff ushered our party of 8 to a side room of the two story building. Ordered a number of items which came out quickly including the tuna appetizer, foot-long pot roast grilled cheese, chop salad, calamari, tuna bowl, and of course the pulled chicken nachos. Coming from CO, this would be 2-3 times the size of our portions and could easily be shared unless you're some sort of a strong man. Everything was delicious and fresh including the tuna which we all shared amongst the table dipping into the wasabi soy sauce. Tons of TV's around the restaurant playing the soccer and many options for outdoor seating would classify this as a sports themed place.
I had the crispy fish sandwhich and WOAH the serving was great everything was hot and overall a great place to grab a quick bite with friends. They also have a patio for great summer vibes.
My goodness - after having come to the related (and next door) Wildberry for breakafast - and loving the latter - we decided it was time to walk a bit on the wild side and hit up their pub-lovin' offering Westwood Tavern. We arrived on a weekday evening; it wasn't too busy- and we got a nice high top on the upper level. It wasn't too loud - or crowded- and that meant we really were here to enjoy the ambiance, the food, and determine how likely we were to come again! Once we got settled, we were given a happy hour menu - as we'd arrived before 6pm we'd think that's within the happy hour limits - right? Well.... Our server told us, when hub-hub ordered the pub dog, that it was too late to order as it was after 5pm - she checked with someone and then announced - with some fanfare while taking my IPA order (the latter a must at a pub!) that we could, after all, order the pub chili dog. Nice. We decided on the guac and chips only to be there was no guac to be had - say it wasn't so! We turned on a dime and hit up the spinach and artichoke dip, which hub-hub deemed acceptable. Yay. I ordered the Tavern Burger (medium well, please) and took some red mashers in lieu of the fries. Said mashers were tasty, but OH so salty. And the Tavern Burger? My god. Absolutely fantastic with that brioche (had to be, right?) bun! Hubby enjoyed the chili dog as well - leading us to to determine- sans guac or not, we would come again. The sole demerit was with the server not initially accepting the order of the chili dog from the very happy hour menu we'd been given when initially seated moments before, and for the lack of guac (for shame!). That said- we'll be back, sayeth us, and we think most of you would enjoy this spot. Oh- a suggestion please - I usually ask for a beer flight - only to be told they don't do flights - say it ain't so! It was so. Oh my. A proper brewpub would offer that - consider it, please. But we WILL be back again. Promise.
Sat on second floor, patio was packed, still a vibe. Food was yummy!! The bread for $9 probably can skip and pick something else. Sushi was made fresh. Pasta had alittle kick, good though. Salmon was good, ask for more peppers, sliced them up!! Service was great!!! N
The beginning of beautiful weather in Chicago with outdoor dining! As a group we sent to the Westwood Tavern and boy it was delicious! They have a braised short rib FOOTLONG grilled cheese sandwich that comes with tomato basil dip! Their salads salad are really yummy pictures here is the Thai chicken & noodle salad . There's also the taco platter ,margarita flatbread, & tavern burgers the service was really sweet!!
Upscale sports bar. Gets the nice place tag. Great to get together with friends or watch a game. Had the Fig & Prosciutto Flatbread. Large servings, tasty ingredients used. However, the dough is lacking crisp, even after I brought leftovers home to warm up in the air fryer.
Came here with a friend and had a pretty nice time. The place wasn't busy, but our server had a hard time keeping up with the amount of tables she had and it would take her an insane amount of time to come get our orders. I ended up getting their Pulled Chicken Nachos and the Chicago Sushi Roll. I was not expecting such a huge portion of nachos, but they were honestly delicious enough where I didn't care. The chicken was incredibly flavorful and every bite was amazing. I'm happy to share that the chips didn't really get soggy even at the end, meaning they use good quality chips. As for my Chicago Sushi Roll, they actually had to remake it because they brought it on top of sweet mayo, which I can't eat. They were very nice about it since it doesn't state anywhere on the menu that it would come with mayo. The server was telling me that they used to make this roll without the sweet potato in it and she liked it better this way. I decided to try it the new way, but after one bite, I took out all the sweet potato. The server was right about it having it been better previously. It was a pretty decent roll without the sweet potato. I'd honestly come back here if I was back in town.
Hosted an event here a few weeks ago. The staff was so easy to work with and the catering menu had tons of great options for everyone. We went with chicken piccata and salmon - everyone commented on how great the food was. They were also able to easily accommodate lots of allergies, which I appreciate immensely being gluten-free. We used the Fireplace Room upstairs - it was the perfect size for 40 people. Overall a great experience and would highly recommend their event spaces. Major downside was that the elevator broke for our event which meant one guest was unable to attend. The staff didn't give us a heads up on this (even though we had explicitly asked about the elevator several times), so the guest arrived, found out about the elevator and then had to leave. It was very awkward. I get that things like this happen, but it would have been beneficial to have received a heads up that it wasn't working that day. Lack of communication is the only reason I'm giving a 4 review.
